The Enterprise Integration Architect defines and governs how applications, platforms, data, and business processes connect across the retail enterprise and its external partner ecosystem. The role establishes integration strategy, target-state and reference architectures, reusable integration patterns, standards, and roadmaps to enable secure, reliable, and scalable information exchange. It works across business and technology teams to support connected retail experiences spanning digital commerce, stores, merchandising, inventory, fulfillment, finance, and customer engagement. The architect assesses the existing integration landscape and plans modernization; defines integration approaches, contracts, ownership boundaries, and reliability practices; and designs end-to-end integrations for retail platforms, business journeys, and external partners. The role also establishes security, nonfunctional, observability, and operational-readiness requirements; leads architecture reviews and delivery guidance; evaluates integration technologies; and collaborates with architecture, engineering, product, operations, security, and partner teams. Key deliverables include an enterprise integration strategy and phased modernization roadmap, current- and target-state architecture, an integration pattern catalog, API and B2B standards, reference architectures for critical retail journeys, ownership models, operational standards, architecture review processes, and reusable implementation examples. Success includes broad adoption of standards, greater reuse, faster application and partner onboarding, improved reliability and recovery, fewer integration incidents and manual reconciliations, readiness for peak retail volumes, and modernization without unacceptable disruption to operations. The position also includes participating in OP monthly team meetings and team-building efforts; contributing to technical discussions and peer reviews; contributing to the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base; and providing status reports to OP Account Management as requested. OP describes itself as a technology consulting and solutions company providing advisory and managed services, platforms, and staffing solutions. It highlights access to consulting practices, strategies, technologies, and training and education. The salary is determined by factors including location, education, qualifications, experience, technical skills, and business needs.
