About The Position

This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year, and work is performed at a customer location. As an Enterprise Infrastructure Support Systems Administrator, you will provide system administration solutions to meet required capabilities and you will create bills of materials, network designs and diagrams, and other documentation for new and updated installations. You will also work with network, storage, and server personnel to define new or modified solutions to complex problems; respond to requests for new systems to meet capacity and user requirements; and determine required power, space, cooling, and funding to meet these goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required.
  • At least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in Modern operating systems and network architectures.
  • At least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation, architecture development and design, Risk Assessments and IA Metrics gathering.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system administration solutions to meet required capabilities.
  • Create bills of materials, network designs and diagrams, and other documentation for new and updated installations.
  • Work with network, storage, and server personnel to define new or modified solutions to complex problems.
  • Respond to requests for new systems to meet capacity and user requirements.

  • Optimize system operation and resource utilization.
  • Perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Break down complex problem space, formulate technical strategies, build action plans, and track progress against established baselines to resolve technical challenges and meet customer expectations.
  • Configure and manage Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
  • Install/load operating systems software.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components.
  • Implement operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Manage virtual servers through VMWare and similar hypervisor products.
