The Enterprise Credit Collateral Auditor is responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations and asset-based field examinations to ensure all collateral pledged is verified and reported accurately in accordance with established credit and security agreements and documented in accordance with internal underwriting and collateral standards. This role ensures assets reported on a borrowing base are accurately reported by a borrower through appropriate financial and systems control testing procedures. The role ensures collateral pledged is appropriately secured and monitored in accordance with sound lending principles. The auditor will verify the legitimacy, ownership, and valuation of pledged assets in accordance with loan covenant definitions, assess the adequacy and condition of collateral, identify risks or discrepancies, and ensure that collateral information is consistently maintained in appropriate borrower systems. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s credit exposure by confirming that all collateral securing asset-based loans are valid, enforceable, and sufficient to support credit decisions. This role brings deep expertise and wide operational latitude, handling complex or ambiguous work that requires sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
