About The Position

Implico is seeking an experienced Enterprise & Cloud Architect to evolve its software and technology landscape across SAP and non-SAP environments. The role combines enterprise architecture with cloud-native technologies and modern AI architecture, establishing clear standards and reusable patterns that help engineering teams build and operate software effectively. The architect will define and evolve enterprise, cloud and product architecture; design cloud-native and SaaS architectures; and establish practical engineering standards for microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, Domain-Driven Design, automated testing, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security and observability. The role also develops architecture patterns and guardrails for Generative AI, AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation and foundation model integration, addressing security, data privacy, governance, monitoring and cost control. The position designs integration and target architectures across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP and non-SAP platforms, and drives modernization of existing applications toward modular, cloud-native architectures. It makes technology decisions across Azure or AWS, SAP BTP, Kubernetes, data and AI platforms, and collaborates with Product, Engineering, DevOps and Security in architecture reviews. The role includes hands-on technical guidance to help teams put architecture and engineering principles into practice.

Requirements

Several years of experience as an Enterprise, Cloud, Solution or Software Architect.
Strong practical understanding of modern software architecture and cloud-native development.
Solid expertise in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
Experience with microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing and DevSecOps.
Experience with AI-enabled applications and modern AI architectures, including Generative AI, AI Agents and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
Familiarity with SAP architectures and integrations, ideally SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
Ability to put engineering standards and architecture guardrails into practice.
Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to engineering teams and at a strategic level.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Generative AI, AI Agents and Retrieval-Augmented Generation using Azure AI, AWS AI Services, SAP Business AI or comparable platforms.
Hands-on experience with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and SAP BTP Kyma runtime.
