The Enterprise Asset Manager is a highly skilled and experienced professional responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of all organizational assets, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity assets. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership capabilities. This includes demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive asset inventories for both on-premise and cloud-based assets, as well as proven experience with asset classification, prioritization, and lifecycle management, specifically integrating cybersecurity considerations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) roles is required, with at least 3-5 years of that experience in a lead or managerial capacity overseeing asset management programs within a large, complex enterprise environment.
  • The experience collaborating with cybersecurity teams on vulnerability management, configuration management, and risk assessments, alongside familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as FISMA, NIST, and ISO 27001, and supporting audits.
  • The successful candidate will possess expert-level knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles, best practices, and methodologies (e.g., ITIL, ISO 19770), coupled with a deep understanding of hardware, software, and cloud asset lifecycles. Proficiency in asset discovery tools and techniques for various environments (network, endpoint, cloud) is essential, as is a strong understanding of software licensing models, compliance, and optimization strategies.
  • A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, vulnerabilities, and risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST RMF, CSF) is critical, along with familiarity with secure configuration baselines and configuration management best practices. The ability to integrate asset data into security operations, vulnerability management, and incident response processes is also a key requirement.
  • Extensive experience with leading ITAM/EAM platforms and CMDB solutions (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, Ivanti, BMC, etc.) is expected, including experience evaluating, implementing, and managing asset management tools. Familiarity with automation concepts and scripting for asset data collection and reconciliation will be highly valued.
  • Finally, the role demands proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau), with the ability to develop and track KPIs and metrics for asset management effectiveness, and strong analytical skills to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide asset management strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Maintain a comprehensive asset register, tracking acquisition, utilization, depreciation, and disposal.
  • Conduct asset audits, valuations, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, procurement, and IT teams to optimize asset performance and reduce costs.
  • Evaluate and recommend asset management systems and tools, leveraging technology to improve data accuracy and reporting.
  • Monitor asset condition and performance metrics, initiating maintenance or replacement programs as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed reports on asset utilization, lifecycle costs, and ROI for senior management.
  • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and governance frameworks for consistent enterprise asset management.
