About The Position

The British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking an Enterprise Architecture Business Analyst co-op student/intern for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 work terms (September 2026 to April 2027). This role will provide analytical and modeling support in the implementation of an enterprise-wide architecture repository. BCI manages a globally diversified portfolio of assets valued at $295 billion and is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors. This is a great opportunity to learn highly sought-after, real-world Enterprise Architecture skills in the investment world, working closely with senior IT and business managers. The Enterprise Architecture team works with other Technology teams, internal client departments, and vendors to create, configure, and implement BCI's long-term architectural direction. This work term will provide the opportunity to learn from and assist the Enterprise Architecture team in the initiative to introduce an Enterprise Architecture Repository.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation / data migration of the new enterprise architecture tool at BCI
  • Collaborate with the IT team to configure, test, and deploy the enterprise architecture tool
  • Document implementation processes, technical specifications, and user guides
  • Support the team in conducting architecture impact assessments to evaluate changes and their implications
  • Participate in AI governance activities, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and best practices
  • Contribute to various IT projects, providing technical support and innovative solutions
  • Engage in team meetings and project discussions, offering insights and feedback on ongoing initiatives
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends to support project development and decision-making

  • Competitive pay: $2,330.00 gross bi-weekly or $2,155.00 gross bi-weekly + vacation leave paid based on 6% of salary ($2,330.00 gross biweekly for those with (or working towards) a graduate degree and $2,155.00 gross biweekly for those with (or working towards) an undergraduate degree, diploma, or certificate)
  • Travel: if coming to Victoria for this work term, BCI will provide a fixed-rate travel allowance based on your location
