About The Position

The enterprise architect turns strategic intent into actionable blueprints and ensures compliance with technical standards and guardrails. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, performing architecture reviews, and guiding IT and business leaders on strategic investment. An enterprise architect’s focus is on the large spectrum of process, systems and data that enable critical business processes across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of prior experience as an enterprise architect, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • 10+ years of prior experience in technical IT roles, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in both development and operations, including DevOps.
  • Skilled in implementing various architecture styles, design patterns and best practices for software development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Erwin, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, SQL, Power BI, Spark, Python, R.
  • Familiarity with Azure AI/ML Services, Azure Analytics: Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Scripting: Ansible
  • Experience with machine learning and advanced analytics.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Convert strategic intent from stakeholders into actionable, cost-efficient, and secure blueprints that the IT organization can deliver.
  • Conduct architectural reviews and assessments against architectural guidelines, enforcing rules and policies that maintain a secure, efficient and effective IT landscape.
  • Define and communicate the living target architecture, high-level design, and technical roadmaps.
  • Lead or participate in architecture runway and other ceremonies to ensure consistency across teams and management of dependencies.
  • Review and improve architectural standards, contributing to the guardrails for the enterprise.
  • Help leadership define policies, guidelines, and strategies.
