About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Enterprise Architect to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain DoDAF‑compliant architecture artifacts (AV, OV, CV, SV, SdtV) and authoritative architecture viewpoints. Conduct enterprise assessments, gap analyses, capability shortfall evaluations, and impact analyses for modernization initiatives. Produce future‑state architecture blueprints, transition roadmaps, ROMs, and COAs tied to mission objectives and funding cycles. Maintain and govern the enterprise architecture repository; ensure data quality, version control, and accessibility in approved collaboration platforms. Guide integration of new systems and initiatives with architecture standards; participate in architecture review boards and compliance activities. Collaborate with system engineers, data architects, cybersecurity, program leadership, and external partners to validate requirements and enforce standards. Assess emerging technologies, produce enterprise‑level recommendations, and evaluate tradeoffs for interoperability, scalability, and resilience. Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI (active)
  • Education / Training / Certification: Candidate must meet ONE: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering; OR Completion of DoD/Military Enterprise Architect (Advanced) Playlist; OR Relevant certifications (see list below).
  • Experience: Enterprise architecture experience with demonstrated DoDAF modeling, architecture governance, and enterprise assessment work—preferably in DoD/Army environments.
  • Skills: DoDAF modeling tool proficiency, architecture repository management, stakeholder facilitation, roadmap development, and senior‑leader briefings.
  • Acceptable Certifications (one or more preferred) CISSO, CISSP‑ISSAP, CISSP‑ISSEP, GCIA, GCLD, GCSA, GICSP
  • Other expert certs desirable: CASP+, AWS/Azure/GCP Professional, TOGAF, DAWIA

Nice To Haves

  • Prior ARNG, Army, or DoD enterprise architecture experience
  • Experience producing ROMs/COAs and supporting POM/APOM or acquisition decisions
  • Familiarity with EA toolsets (Sparx, MEGA, System Architect, ArchiMate, etc.) and approved Army collaboration platforms
  • Experience with cloud migration, platform rationalization, data governance, and security architecture integration
