About The Position

The College of Western Idaho is seeking an Enterprise Applications Engineer to provide technical ownership of the enterprise systems that support college operations. The primary responsibility of this position is the administration, reliability, integration, and continuous improvement of CWI’s Ellucian Colleague enterprise resource planning system. Ellucian experience is not required. We are interested in candidates who have successfully supported complex enterprise applications, commercial ERP platforms, financial or administrative systems, or other multi-tier business applications. Experience gained in healthcare, government, finance, manufacturing, or another complex organization can translate well to this role. CWI hosts Ellucian Colleague on Windows Server virtual machines in Microsoft Azure. Azure is therefore an important part of the technical environment, but this is primarily an enterprise application engineering position rather than a cloud architecture position. The successful candidate will understand how application, web, database, identity, integration, and infrastructure components work together as a complete system. Position Summary The Enterprise Applications Engineer administers and supports CWI’s Ellucian Colleague ERP platform and related enterprise applications. This position manages application environments, coordinates upgrades and patches, troubleshoots issues across multiple technology layers, supports integrations, and helps ensure systems remain secure, available, and responsive. The position also supports identity-related integrations between enterprise applications, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID. It works with security, infrastructure, application, and support teams to ensure users receive accurate and appropriate access to college systems. Applicants do not need previous Ellucian or higher education experience. Candidates with transferable enterprise application engineering experience are encouraged to apply.
