About The Position

Working primarily independently with minimal supervision of the Senior Director of Institutional Research and Strategic Analytics, the Enterprise Analytics Platform Engineer serves as the University's technical and strategic lead for enterprise analytics, data products, and AI-enabled decision support. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and operationalizing Chico State's enterprise analytics ecosystem through the University's Unified Data Platform and modern cloud analytics technologies, including Microsoft Fabric, Amazon Quick, and other enterprise analytics platforms. The incumbent develops trusted data products, enterprise semantic models, dashboards, AI-enabled analytics solutions, and self-service reporting capabilities that empower faculty, staff, administrators, and executive leadership to make timely, informed decisions. Working collaboratively across the Division of Information Technology and campus stakeholders, the Enterprise Analytics Platform Engineer advances institutional data governance, analytics maturity, responsible AI adoption, and enterprise reporting capabilities that support the University's strategic priorities, student success, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or relevant education and/or experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Five years of relevant experience.
  • An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
