About The Position

The Senior Outcomes Specialist Sr. works under the leadership of the Manager Business Insights to evaluate internal clinical programs and develop predictive models that guide evidence-based population health management practices. The role conducts advanced statistical analyses and develops predictive models using complex operational, economic, and statistical data to quantify competitive performance across business segments, calculate return on investment, evaluate potential operational changes, and design new approaches and methodologies. The specialist prepares and presents evaluation results for diverse stakeholders. This remote role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST. A reliable high-speed internet connection with at least 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required. Fully remote associates residing in states where reimbursement is required by contract, law, or regulation may submit for reimbursement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in applied statistics, computer science, mathematics, epidemiology, sociology, or economics.
5 to 10 years of experience using mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions.
5 to 8 years of experience in outcomes analyses and predictive modeling design and implementation in the health care field.
Knowledge of statistical analyses and methodologies, including generalized linear regression, logistic regression, repeated-measures analysis, survival analysis, cluster analysis, time-series analysis, decision trees, neural networks, and other machine-learning techniques.
Knowledge and skill in adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to measure and improve organizational productivity.
Strong working knowledge of data visualization and geographic data analysis tools such as Tableau and ArcGIS.
Advanced proficiency in data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.
Advanced proficiency in pattern recognition and predictive modeling.
Advanced organizational, technical, analytical, and written and oral communication skills.
Advanced technical writing skills for business requirements, queries, reports, and presentations.
Advanced technical skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, and statistical analysis tools such as SAS EG, SAS Enterprise Miner, or R, with the ability to learn other analytic tools.
Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, including collecting, organizing, mining, analyzing, visualizing, and disseminating information accurately and effectively.
Ability to manage time by continually evaluating priorities, meet deadlines with high-quality deliverables, understand expectations, and multitask.
Reliable high-speed internet connection of at least 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree.
Knowledge of external public data sources such as CMS, census, CDC, and AHRQ.

Responsibilities

Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting methods and tools within the defined technology stack to support scalability and performance.

Lead the design of new approaches and methodologies.
Calculate return on investment and evaluate potential operational changes.
Communicate analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements to operational systems as needed.
Collaborate across corporate areas to understand workflows, document processes, and ensure high-quality product delivery.
Deliver high-quality outputs and actionable solutions on a fast-paced team with minimal direction, while developing detailed understanding of the application, product, or area.
