About The Position

Under the supervision of the campus director, the teacher is responsible for teaching the program, supporting students in their learning, and evaluating their progress in accordance with the established curriculum. Campus: Montreal Work mode: Remote Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM Expected start date: June 2026

Requirements

  • Diploma in medical secretarial work or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical secretarial work (private clinics, hospitals, CLSCs, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
  • Good command of computer tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
  • Ability to simplify information and lead a group of adults
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and support students towards their success
  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or relevant certification issued by a recognized institution

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in college teaching (AEC) considered a major asset

Responsibilities

  • Deliver courses in accordance with program and module objectives
  • Prepare teaching materials and learning activities
  • Mentor and support students in their academic progress
  • Evaluate learning and grade assignments, exams, and assessments
  • Clearly explain medical concepts and terminology
  • Maintain a professional and respectful learning environment
  • Connect the reality of the job market with the content taught
  • Participate, as needed, in pedagogical meetings and program activities
  • Collaborate with the administrative team and other teachers
  • Organize make-up sessions when necessary
  • Keep track of student attendance and grades
  • Enter attendance and grades into the institutional system (MyCampus) within prescribed deadlines
  • Submit final results within established deadlines
  • Participate in the orientation day for new cohorts
  • Contribute to the improvement and updating of teaching tools
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field of medical secretarial work
  • Perform any other related tasks requested by management
