About The Position

The Enrolment Advisor – Transfer and Golden Horseshoe Region (EA-TGHR) initiates, builds relationships and acts as an ongoing single point of contact for transfer students, prospective students, applicants and their influencers (i.e., educators, parents and college partners) in the Golden Horseshoe Region (GHR). The EA-TGHR plans and implements a full range of customized recruitment and engagement tactics to support the University’s enrolment objectives specific to these two primary market segments by ensures these sub-markets are consistently included in the University’s recruitment and conversion planning. This is a substitute vacancy for approximately 18 months.

Requirements

  • University degree and College academic experience or equivalent years of work experience as determined by the department
  • Reside within the greater Golden Horseshoe Region
  • Two (2) years’ experience working with faculty, staff and students in a post-secondary institution, preferably in an enrolment services role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with demonstrated experience giving presentations among audiences of all sizes (in-person and virtually)
  • Strong relationship management and networking skills
  • Thorough understanding of Transfer learner needs and priorities and opportunities
  • Thorough understanding of GHR learner needs, priorities and opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and collaborate
  • A sound knowledge of University academic programs, admission criteria, services and resources for undergraduate students.
  • Demonstrated experience organizing events
  • Ability to engage and motivate prospects, applicants and supporters to move through the recruitment funnel
  • Strong orientation to customer service and familiarity with customer relationship management systems (CRM)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, – online engagement platforms such as Zoom, Go2 Webinar, and social media platforms
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
  • Frequent travel is required within the GHR of Ontario
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule
  • Evidence of commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, including experience working effectively with diverse student, staff, and/or faculty populations

  • Fluency in a second language, preferably French
