About The Position

The Enrollment Marketing Writer develops and executes strategic, persuasive communications that support undergraduate and graduate student recruitment and enrollment goals. Working with Enrollment Management, Admissions, Marketing and Communications, and academic program leaders, this position creates compelling content that engages prospective students throughout the enrollment funnel—from inquiry through application, admission, and matriculation. The writer also works closely with the Assistant Vice President of Communications and Marketing and serves as the primary content developer for Slate CRM communications, including email campaigns, letters, text messaging, landing pages, and recruitment collateral. The position also develops recruitment advertising copy, website content, and enrollment-focused storytelling that communicates the institution's value proposition and encourages prospective students to take action. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional promotional writing skills, experience in higher education marketing or enrollment communications, and proficiency in the Slate CRM platform.

Requirements

  • Experience working in higher education admissions, enrollment marketing, or student recruitment.
  • Proficiency with the Slate CRM platform, including communication development, segmentation, personalization, and campaign management.
  • Experience writing for undergraduate, graduate, or adult learner recruitment audiences.
  • Understanding of enrollment funnels, conversion strategies, and prospective student behavior.
  • Knowledge of SEO and digital content strategy.
  • Experience interpreting campaign analytics and making data-informed content recommendations.
  • Commitment to supporting enrollment growth through effective communication strategies.
  • Knowledge of Chaminade University’s programs and Catholic Marianist mission.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple formats.
  • Ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging language.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and meeting deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Some experience with basic CMS and email/CRM systems, and social media.

  • Ability to lift, move, maintain, and set up computer, audio-visual, and simulation lab equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., without assistance.
  • Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines.
  • Must be able to walk the campus with ease, have excellent motor skills, and be able to sit or stand for 30 minutes at a time.
  • Must have finger dexterity.
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
  • Forty hours per week (M-F) will be the general rule. However, depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the department, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be occasionally required.
  • Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and have a varying schedule when required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and edit enrollment-focused communications for prospective undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Create and maintain segmented communication flows within Slate CRM based on audience, academic interest, geography, stage in the enrollment funnel, and other recruitment variables.
  • Write personalized email campaigns, admission letters, recruitment correspondence, event invitations, text messages, and other student communications.
  • Collaborate with admissions counselors and enrollment leadership to support recruitment objectives through targeted messaging.
  • Ensure communications maintain a consistent institutional voice while addressing the unique interests and needs of diverse student populations.
  • Write compelling copy for digital and print recruitment advertising campaigns, including digital display ads, social media advertising, search engine marketing campaigns, print publications, recruitment brochures and viewbooks, and event promotion materials.
  • Develop persuasive calls to action that drive inquiries, applications, campus visits, and enrollment deposits.
  • Support enrollment marketing campaigns through message development, content strategy, and audience-focused storytelling.
  • Write and update admissions and academic program website content designed to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Develop landing page copy for recruitment campaigns and enrollment initiatives.
  • Optimize content for usability, search engine visibility, and prospective student experience.
  • Collaborate with web and marketing teams to ensure content alignment across digital channels.
  • Build, manage, and test communications within the Slate CRM platform.
  • Implement personalization, conditional content, and audience segmentation strategies.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of communication campaigns, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and brand consistency.
  • Monitor communication performance metrics and recommend content improvements based on engagement and conversion data.
  • Work with admissions operations staff to support communication workflows and campaign execution.
  • Partner with Enrollment Management leadership and the Assistant Vice President of Communications and Marketing to develop communication strategies that support recruitment goals.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to translate program features into compelling student-centered messaging.
  • Participate in enrollment marketing planning and campaign development.
  • Maintain awareness of higher education enrollment trends, student communication preferences, and best practices in CRM marketing.
