About The Position

Wintringham is a specialized non-religious not-for-profit welfare organization committed to providing older people who are at risk or have experienced homelessness with a range of high-quality care, housing, and services. We employ over 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania. Our Williamstown Hostel, located near Melbourne's CBD, offers affordable, high-quality accommodation to individuals aged 50 and over, providing a safe, flexible, and caring family-style environment that allows residents to maintain their chosen lifestyles, habits, and activities while promoting independence. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled Endorsed Nurse (EEN) to join our team at the Williamstown Residential Aged Care on a Casual Basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a close-knit community, fostering a warm and supportive environment for residents, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements

• Ability to work both in a team and autonomously
• Cert IV/Diploma of Nursing (with current AHPRA Registration)
• Prior experience in housing & homelessness support, aged care, welfare, disability support, mental health or community/home care
• Keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to enhance or maintain our residents’ independence and lifestyle
• A friendly and non-judgmental attitude

Responsibilities

• Undertaking medication management and treatment procedures as directed by the Residential Site Manager or person in charge
• Liaising with medical practitioners, pharmacists, and other health services to provide relevant services for the care and wellbeing of the residents
• Assisting the RN1 with clinical requirements of residents
• Assisting in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs
• Observing and reporting changes in residents' behaviour or physical condition and maintaining appropriate documentation as required
• Providing emotional support to residents

Benefits

• Competitive base pay rates: $40.21 - $45.10 + 25% casual loading + superannuation (dependent on experience and qualifications)
