About The Position

GroundSystems is hiring an Enhancement Crew Leader in Dayton, Ohio, to lead and mentor a landscaping crew while performing hands-on enhancement work. The role oversees daily operations, quality, efficient workflows, and team success across landscaping projects. The crew typically includes 1–4 members. This is year-round, full-time work outdoors and offers on-the-job training and opportunities for career growth. The leader performs and guides mowing, pruning, planting, general groundskeeping, and perennial bed maintenance; operates and maintains landscaping equipment; and operates trucks and trailers. The role also requires maintaining a safe, efficient worksite and using required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; a CDL is not required.
At least 20 years old.
Eligible to work in the U.S.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
Basic English communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and safety.
Must use personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

Previous landscaping or groundskeeping experience.
Familiarity with hand saws, pruners, mowers, weed eaters, and blowers.
Experience supervising a small team or crew.
