About The Position
The English Teacher provides academic instruction aligned with Arizona state standards at Parker High School. The position requires Arizona Teacher Certification and highly qualified status for the assigned content area pursuant to federal requirements. Performance is evaluated in accordance with Board policy. For initial placement on the Certified Salary Placement Schedule, credit may be given for up to fifteen years of previous teaching experience for English positions. Benefits include medical, dental, prescription, and life insurance, Arizona State Retirement, and personal leave. The District also offers opportunities for additional compensation, including Performance Pay and academic or athletic stipends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree.
- Valid Arizona Teacher Certification and endorsement consistent with the assignment.
- Highly qualified status to teach the assigned grade and/or content area.
- Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP fingerprint clearance card.
