About The Position

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) English Learner Teacher position located at Wakefield High School for the SY27 school year. The role requires Virginia licensure, a Secondary Education endorsement, and English as a Second Language PreK-12 certification. Candidates should have teaching experience, knowledge of best instructional practices, and the ability to integrate technology, along with experience in educational and instructional leadership. The position demands a team player who is flexible, dependable, highly organized, and possesses excellent interpersonal skills, with a desire to work with a diverse community of learners. Familiarity with APS English Learner program models and assessment procedures is also expected.

Requirements

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Secondary Education endorsement.
• English as a Second Language PreK-12 certification required.
• Teaching experience in the above mentioned areas.
• Knowledge of best instructional practices.
• Ability to integrate technology.
• Experience in educational and instructional leadership.
