About The Position

The T26/27 English Teacher position at Swanson within Arlington Public Schools requires Virginia licensure in English. The role involves implementing instructional programs tailored to student needs, maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment, and communicating effectively with parents/guardians. Key responsibilities include managing student records, collaborating with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members, and continuously monitoring and assessing student achievement. The teacher is also expected to attend ongoing professional learning and meetings. Preferred qualifications include dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education.

Requirements

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in English.
• Teaching experience in the above mentioned areas.
• Knowledge of best instructional practices.
• Ability to integrate technology.
• Experience in educational and instructional leadership.

Nice To Haves

• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area.
