About The Position
The English Language Development (ELD) Paraeducator enhances the ELD program by supporting and working with students and school staff to perform all duties with accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. The ELD Paraeducator will coordinate with the ELD supervisor and content area teachers in the delivery of English language and content instruction. This position supports ELL students in the acculturation process and assists with translation and interpretation materials.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma required.
- Must have the ability to relate effectively with students, staff and public.
- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI
- TB Screening
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual English/Spanish - preferred
- Two-years of post-secondary education (48 credits) or an Associates degree preferred.
- Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred
- Bilingual speaking skills in Spanish / English - preferred
