About The Position

Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the Full-Time (1.0 FTE) position of English Language Development (ELD) Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA). This position is located at the District Administration Building (640 A Street, Springfield, OR). Requirements

• A valid State of Oregon teaching license with an ESOL endorsement
• Ability to coordinate the ELD Program including preparing official reports; overseeing budgets; overseeing technology; coordinating ELD state assessments, supervising identification, assessment, placement, and progress monitoring of students; supporting ELD certified and classified staff; serving as a resource to District staff and students regarding program requirements, procedures and curriculum; overseeing services to families through the ELD office
• Positive and effective communication and collaboration skills desired
• Motivated to establish effective working relationships with staff, colleagues, students, parents and the community
• Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity
