About The Position
Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous English Language Arts instruction aligned with Illinois Learning Standards. The ideal candidate will foster an inclusive classroom, collaborate with colleagues, utilize data to inform instruction, and build strong partnerships with students, families, and staff to support student success.
Requirements
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate English Language Arts endorsement.
- Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to equity, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.

- Experience integrating instructional technology to enhance student learning.
