About The Position
Seeking English- and Japanese-proficient interpreters to facilitate accurate communication between speakers in high-stakes environments, specifically in healthcare. The role is home-based and offers flexibility. Interpreters process information quickly and precisely, follow established protocols, and help bridge language gaps. This is described as a long-term contractor position, with immediate availability to begin after onboarding and guaranteed monthly payments.
Requirements
- Full proficiency in both English and Japanese.
- At least 1 year of interpretation experience.
- Exceptional listening, memory retention, and note-taking abilities.
- Ability to render concepts and meanings accurately, following established protocols without omissions.
- Ability to explain cultural nuances to support clear communication.
- 90% English proficiency.
- Steady wired internet connection.
- USB wired headset.
- Windows 10 or Mac.
Responsibilities
- Answer calls professionally and act according to the interpreter’s code of conduct.
- Use vocabulary specific to the interpreter’s industry, particularly healthcare and medicine.
- Participate in internal professional training.
- Communicate and report to the team leader.
