Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent accreditation in English; or Master’s degree in a related area with 18 hours of coursework in English at the graduate level
Minimum of one full year teaching experience at the university level
Interest in teaching Composition I and II
Experience participating in an innovative English program and general education program
High level of professionalism and strong commitment to students
Promote a common purpose consistent with stated University goals and demonstrate a commitment to students and the learning environment
Possess the knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, and follow procedural and policy manual related to the job tasks
Demonstrate the ability to respond to supervision, guidance and direction in a positive, receptive manner and in accordance with stated policies
Provide quality customer service by creating a welcoming and supportive environment
Present a professional image in word, action and attire
Apply effective techniques to create working relationships with others to achieve common goals; successfully communicates and collaborates with others to achieve goals
Demonstrate skills necessary to look at situations and processes critically to make recommendations for improvement
Seek out new approaches to improve outcomes; remain open for feedback and new ideas
Lead with integrity; consistently produce high-quality work; persevere to overcome obstacles to meet deadlines and achieve deliverables
