About The Position
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking dedicated adjunct faculty to inspire and guide students. Our faculty are dynamic mentors committed to fostering academic, spiritual, and personal growth. As experts in their fields, they are passionate educators and collaborative partners who enrich the college experience. GCU offers fulfilling opportunities for adjunct faculty to teach part-time, in-person courses at our Phoenix campus. We are looking for motivated educators eager to provide high-quality instruction in a modern, collaborative environment with smaller class sizes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in English, Composition, Writing, Professional Writing, or Rhetoric
- Exceptions may be granted to individuals with a Master’s in any field AND 18-graduate credits in English AND substantial teaching experience
- Attach unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above
- Attach unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees

Responsibilities
- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
