This position is for an English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of ESL teaching methodologies and College and Career Readiness standards, with a strong focus on being student-centric and relevant. The role involves conducting classes, utilizing diverse teaching approaches, incorporating essential life and work skills into the curriculum, motivating students, recognizing their achievements, and ensuring teaching is relevant to student needs. The instructor will also participate in CARF Standards Planning and Performance Measurement, monitor and report attendance, prepare students for post-tests, and maintain contact with department staff regarding attendance concerns. Regular use of technology such as SmartBoards, computers, and iPads is expected.
