About The Position
Trident Technical College is building an active pool of qualified applicants for adjunct faculty positions. The English, Speech, and Journalism Department is seeking applications for English Adjunct Instructor roles for the 2026 academic year. These instructors will be responsible for teaching Freshman Composition and Introduction to Literature courses in a traditional face-to-face classroom setting. Classes are offered across all TTC campuses and at local high schools.
Requirements
- An earned master's degree in English OR a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in English at the 500-level or higher.
- Submission of unofficial transcripts with the application.
- Completion of the online SC State Jobs Employment Application.
- Consent to a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Prior teaching experience is desirable.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Teach Freshman Composition and Introduction to Literature classes.
