This position may be filled as an Engineering Technologist III or one level higher as a Senior Engineering Technologist dependent upon the experience level of the selected candidate. This is the third/fourth level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role job classification and considered the career level for the job hierarchy. Technologist III and Senior Engineering Technologist both provide technical expertise to solve more complex problems, and leadership skills to manage work in a specific area of expertise, with minimal supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently with increased latitude for unreviewed work.

Requirements

For Engineering Technologist III: 2+ years of relevant industry experience coupled with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology, OR 4+ years of experience and Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, OR 6+ years equivalent experience without a degree.
For Senior Engineering Technologist: 4+ years of relevant industry experience coupled with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology, OR 6+ years of experience and Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, OR 8+ years equivalent experience without a degree.
Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Good written and oral communication skills.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE) to create schematics and templates for standards and capital project support.
Experience in the utility industry.
Experience with Maximo and/or TIM to develop and support items and Compatible Units (CUs).
Ability to address change requests by the production teams.
