About The Position

Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is currently looking for an Engineering Technician 2 or 3 to work in our Rancho Bernardo (near San Diego, CA) location. This role supports Radar Cross Section (RCS) and Radio Frequency (RF) testing of test articles and antennas. The technician will be expected to mount and dismount test articles on a test support pylon and work in a man lift at a height of 65 feet. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and/or fabricating test equipment (production and prototype), and assisting in the verification, development, and documentation of test procedures and special applications by interpreting product specifications. This role may be filled as an Engineering Technician 2 or Engineering Technician 3 based on qualifications and will work multiple shifts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry, or related military service (for ET 2)
  • 4 years of experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry, or related military service (for ET 3)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time deemed by business needs
  • Ability to use standard tools and shop equipment
  • Experience in Microsoft Office
