About The Position

As an Engineering Technician at Lam, you support the design, testing, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, and specialized test equipment. Using schematics, diagrams, and descriptions, you conduct testing and troubleshooting, isolate faults, and assist in determining ways to remedy malfunctions. You may also collaborate with development engineers to collect design data or support research efforts.

Requirements

2–4 years of related work experience.
Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency with computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
Ability to work a shift schedule.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree, technical certificate, diploma, or higher in a technical field.
Experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, bioengineering, metrology, lab operations, or related areas.
Semiconductor experience.

Responsibilities

Perform testing, check-out, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, descriptions, layouts, or defined plans.
Test and troubleshoot system-level and component-level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems.
Inspect materials, components, or products for surface defects and measure circuitry using electronic test equipment, precision measuring instruments, microscopes, and standard procedures.
Conduct operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment, and help determine methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
Support the design, construction, testing, and check-out of test equipment.
Use test and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.
Collaborate with development engineers conducting engineering tests to collect design data or support research efforts.
