About The Position

Engineering Technicians support vehicle system and component testing for complete vehicle development programs. They execute vehicle commissioning tests per customer and engineering requirements, troubleshoot and resolve complex testing and performance issues, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and customer teams to validate vehicle performance. They also maintain accurate test documentation and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

High school diploma or technical/vocational education required.
Proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Office, Google Suite, diagnostic software).
Strong technical aptitude, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

Technician experience in automotive or related technical industries preferred.
Prior experience in vehicle commissioning or vehicle testing programs.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Hands-on experience using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeter).
Understanding of CAN bus communication and vehicle architecture.
Knowledge of electro‑mechanical systems and industry testing practices.
5+ years of technician experience for advanced technician levels.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle commissioning and system-level tests according to customer specifications.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, and electro‑mechanical issues.
Lead and maintain 5S standards and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
Document test results, maintenance actions, and troubleshooting steps accurately.
Mentor and support lower-level technicians; act as a technical lead as assigned.
Interface with customers and support production, quality, and process improvement activities.
