About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an Engineering Technician for an onsite, 12+ month contract position with a global medical technology company in Salt Lake City, Utah. Working in a clean room environment and with minimal supervision, the technician assists engineers and scientists with developing and analyzing products, materials, processes, and equipment. The role involves building and testing prototypes, establishing quality standards, and contributing to process innovation.

Requirements

Two-year technical degree (such as an AA or certificate) and/or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of technical work experience.
Ability to provide preliminary equipment and prototype drawings and specifications.
Experience designing bench fixturing and tooling.
Experience working with external vendors.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate basic technical information.
General understanding of common engineering statistical and scientific tools, such as Gage R&R, DOE, SPC, and stress/strain analysis.

Nice To Haves

5+ years of technical work experience preferred.
Medical device industry experience.

Responsibilities

Organize, coordinate, and execute the building and testing of prototypes and products according to engineering instructions.
Train others on new product processes and test procedures.
Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling, and/or automation.
Support development and implementation of capable manufacturing processes for new products.
Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering team.
Ensure products are tested using the most current methods and specifications, with documentation completed according to GLP and QS requirements.
Develop concepts and construct prototypes and products.
Communicate project status to project teams.
