About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an Associate Engineering Technician for a global medical technology company in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity performed onsite in a clean room, under limited supervision. The technician assists engineers and scientists with the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment, and assembles and tests prototypes according to engineering instructions.

Requirements

Two-year technical degree (such as an associate degree or certificate) and/or equivalent experience.
Bench fixturing and tooling design experience, including hands-on prototyping.
Experience working with external vendors.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to apply a high level of quality to work.
Ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of technical work experience in medical device development.

Responsibilities

Assemble prototypes and products according to design plans.
Test prototypes according to engineering instructions and document test results.
Assist engineering teams in obtaining supplies and services.
Communicate assignment status to project engineers.
Train others on new product processes and procedures.
Maintain compliance with quality requirements and build quality into all aspects of work.
Ensure products are tested using the most current or validated method, process, and specification, and that documentation is correctly completed in accordance with applicable GLP and QS requirements.
