About The Position

Ulteig is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Transmission & Distribution group of engineers. The role provides technical drafting support, creates drawings in Microstation and AutoCAD, and develops designs in PLS-CADD under close supervision. The technician completes design and drafting tasks for Transmission & Distribution projects, with strong attention to detail and teamwork expected. The target base compensation range is $32.25 to $43.75 per hour. Actual compensation may depend on job-specific skills, education, training, location, relevant experience, and comparison with employees in similar roles. The position will be posted for at least three days and is expected to remain posted for an average of 60 days, until a qualified applicant is selected or the position is cancelled.

Requirements

Two-year technical degree or currently enrolled in school for Technical Drafting.
Minimum 5 years of experience.
Knowledge of AutoCAD.
Proven experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Good organization and communication skills to help ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Openness to innovation, including applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and support continuous improvement.
Permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Microstation.
Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling software or similar 3D modeling software.
Knowledge of PLS-CADD; it is a plus but not required.
Knowledge of GIS software.
Knowledge of Transmission & Distribution design and drafting.
Relevant military experience is considered.
