The Engineering Technician will work closely with Industrial Engineers to support industrialization projects, automation, prototyping, and equipment troubleshooting. This role involves supporting machine testing, data collection, and analysis, as well as assisting in the research, design, and development of manufacturing processes. The technician will also be involved in troubleshooting machines and robots, creating troubleshooting guides, and performing prototype machining from blueprints and specifications. Coordination of analysis, testing, and justification of tools and equipment for manufacturing methods, as well as product/process analysis for cost reduction and quality improvement, are key aspects of this position. The role also includes assisting engineers with tool design drawings using CAD and re-engineering existing parts for improved manufacturability. Identifying and troubleshooting tools for improved quality and tool life is also a responsibility. The position requires compliance with all relevant government, company, and HSE procedures, including ISO 14001 standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement in HSE performance and waste elimination.
