About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support Navy Life Support and Damage Control Systems. The position involves a mix of technical, logistical, and administrative tasks in support of the U.S. Navy's extreme environment systems, including life support and damage control equipment. The role is critical to ensuring operational readiness through equipment assembly, refurbishment, prototyping, material management, and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using CAD software.
  • Experience with assembly, refurbishment, and testing of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with inventory and material management systems (e.g., NERP).
  • Strong technical writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD standards for cleanliness and quality in critical applications.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, maintaining high organizational standards.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Level I or II certification in Maintenance Requirement Card (MRC) or Maintenance Index Page (MIP) development.
  • Experience with high-pressure systems (above 3000 PSI).
  • Background in military or government equipment support.
  • Training or certification in Quality Assurance (ISO 9001 or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, refurbish, and maintain high-pressure life support and respiratory equipment, ensuring adherence to quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs, including diagnostics using test equipment and measurements.
  • Provide material management support, including inventory tracking, procurement, and documentation within Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) systems.
  • Support engineering tasks such as flow calculations, finite element analysis (FEA), and design using CAD tools.
  • Develop and deliver technical manuals, reports, and presentations.
  • Assist in prototyping efforts for life support and damage control equipment, including fabrication and evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Programs (QAP) and update relevant documentation.
  • Collaborate with government representatives and adhere to security protocols for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
  • Operate government-owned vehicles, such as forklifts, for material handling.
