Engineering Technician Supervisor

Amperesand•Reno, NV
•Onsite

About The Position

Amperesand is developing software-defined power infrastructure products based on medium-voltage Solid State Transformer technology. The Engineering Technician Supervisor leads technicians performing mechanical and electrical assembly, new product introduction (NPI) builds, and prototype equipment setup. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for assigning work, resolving day-to-day issues, ensuring schedule, quality, and safety expectations are met, and tracking and approving team timecards and labor hours. The supervisor coordinates and delivers on-the-job training to build technicians’ skills in assembly, fabrication, troubleshooting, and testing. The role also works alongside technicians to install, wire, and commission manufacturing and pilot equipment; partners with engineers on prototype iterations, test fixtures, design for manufacturability, and continuous improvement; and supports product and process validation. The position maintains team progress and risk reporting, reinforces safe work practices, and supports team development through coaching and performance management. This role is onsite five days a week; remote and hybrid arrangements are not offered.
