About The Position

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician IV in Middletown, RI. This role involves supporting engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics, and logic systems. The technician works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions. They assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions, and collect, maintain, organize, compile, and manipulate technical data. The position also requires preparing engineering documentation, reports, drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics, etc.). The role operates under limited supervision, requiring no instructions on routine work and only general instructions on new lines of work or special assignments.
