Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma at a minimum.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Calibration and HAZMAT Coordination support.
  • Investigate and analyze calibration tools and components and perform corrective actions to have tools and components calibrated.
  • Perform tests and evaluation of calibration tools and components to verify tools and components are within calibration and report results.
  • Assist the division with disposition of material that originate from the demilitarization of electro-optics systems.

  • Compile system attributes to determine calibration requirements; includes diagnostic and prognostic equipment, semiautomatic and automatic test equipment (with software), and calibration test or measurement equipment; all of the measuring instruments, measurement standards, and reference materials, auxiliary apparatus, and software which are integral to Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) that is necessary for the operation and calibration of the TMDE.
  • Notify the Calibration Laboratory of any foreseeable calibration support requirements of a new, unusual or unique nature to assure appropriate calibration support is feasible and economical.
  • Monitors all calibration issues, instructions and/or directives, processes and procedures and reports non-compliances.
  • Schedule and execution of all Division calibration equipment.
  • Performs spot checks of calibration equipment and recommends appropriate actions on any identified deficiencies in preparation for formal Audits.
  • Consult with calibration equipment user and vendor in completing a Calibration Measurement Requirement Summary (CMRS) form for the purpose of making an unsupported asset a supported asset. Required by the Calibration lab when equipment TURs is less than the required 4:1 ratio. The CMRS accounts for the required ranges and tolerances for all the equipment functions.
  • Provide technical calibration information for a Crane Action Management System (CAMS) ticket for an OTN resulting in an impact.
  • When required, perform physical movement of calibration equipment to and from lab/NSWC Crane Calibration Lab using a JXQ Government Vehicle.
  • Notify the Calibration Laboratory of any calibration equipment found to be defective.
  • Ensure that Field and User calibrations are performed correctly and properly documented.
  • Report on TMDE delinquent and due for calibration.
  • Update information in the Metbench Calibration Management System (MCMS), as needed.
  • Coordinate with the sub-custodians to prepare the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) form and send equipment to DRMO POC(s).
