About The Position

As a Senior Engineering Technician at Mytra, you will join our Manufacturing Engineering team during a period of rapid scaling and production growth. Our team is focused on optimizing assembly lines and hardware reliability; we need a highly proficient specialist to plan and execute cross-functional work that bridges the gap between design and high-quality production.

Requirements

  • Proven, senior-level experience with mechanical assembly, shop tools, and interpreting complex technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Multi-Material Fabrication experience, including welding and machine tool familiarity.
  • Experience with building structures (steel or wood), including planning the movement of heavy components safely with a mastery of level, plumb, and parallelism.
  • Proficient in Metrology & Inspection tools like calipers, height gauges and micrometers.
  • An Associate degree (or equivalent) with at least 5-6 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or prototyping environment.
  • Demonstrate advanced analytical problem-solving abilities and the capacity to communicate technical issues clearly across both engineering and operations teams.
  • Champion 5S methodology to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and remaining mobile throughout the facility.
  • Experience working at heights.
  • Excellent spatial awareness in terms of where you are relative to overhead hazards, moving equipment and other crew members.
  • Experience with rigging, including use of slings, shackles, hooks, etc.
  • Expert users of modern documentation tools (Google Suite) and manufacturing software systems (ERP/MRP) like Arena or Linear.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAD software for minor tooling adjustments or layout planning.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or deep familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts.
  • Experience with wire harness builds, cable termination, and harness routing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot non-routine assembly processes to ensure cross-team efficiency and daily manufacturing continuity.
  • Independently develop and maintain high-quality work instructions (SOPs) and detailed technical documentation to ensure every unit meets Mytra’s standards.
  • Apply structured problem-solving to lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and implement systematic workflow improvements across the floor.
  • Oversee tooling equipment, including configuring calibration schedules, preventive maintenance, and inventory tracking.
  • Lead product prototype builds and support first-article inspections (FAI) to validate manufacturing systems and engineering changes.
