About The Position

This position provides support to the Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations Division on both the east and west coast. Responsibilities include boat operations and maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems. Shipboard support involves knowledge of launching and recovery of small boats. The role is part of an established Marine Operations division supporting multiple systems on projects nationwide. Candidates can expect training for functions beyond normal operations. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of general mechanical and boat operations experience.
  • General knowledge of boat operations, mechanical and electrical operating systems.
  • Experience with driving pickup trucks with trailers on the road and in enclosed or limited spaces.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel 40-50% of the year, from one to six weeks at a time.
  • Ability to obtain a passport.
  • Possess valid state driver’s license.
  • Physically capable of transferring between vessels at sea.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain a US DoD Interim Secret Security clearance.
  • Ability to maintain clearance throughout employment.
  • Pass a Drug Screening.

  • Commercial Driver License is a plus.
  • Trade school training a plus.
  • Professional certifications/licenses a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations Division both on the east and west coast.

  • Participate in functions beyond normal operations.
  • Operate small boats in local waters and offshore in fleet operating areas.
  • Submit data, reports, and complete work orders in a database.
