About The Position

Videray Technologies exists to create a safer society across the globe. We have created some of the world’s most powerful, user-friendly, and ultra-portable handheld x-ray inspection devices to help our clients see through surfaces to detect illicit drugs, contraband, and potential threats. Our technology is already progressing on this mission domestically and internationally in over 80 countries. You’ll be working with a fun, intelligent, and driven group of individuals to ensure we can continue to fulfill this mission in the years to come! We are seeking an Engineering Technician to perform moderately complex test procedures and troubleshooting techniques on electromechanical sub-assemblies and complete systems to ensure compliance with company standards. This is an on-site role in our Boston, MA office.

Requirements

  • Specialized training and/or Associates degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in building, testing, troubleshooting and repair of electronics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with high voltage electronics.
  • High level of commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship building.
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works well in a cross-functional team environment, must be a team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with X-Ray systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Resolves deficiencies identified during test procedures to restore systems to acceptable operational standards.
  • Assists in the development of test and repair procedures to meet quality specifications.
  • Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.
  • Performs acceptance testing of incoming electronics, PCBAs, modules, and components.
  • Software installation, data downloading, and data entry of test results.
  • Assists Technical Services in troubleshooting and repair of returned systems.
  • Supports prototype electronics assembly and test.
  • PCBA assembly troubleshooting and rework.
