About The Position

As a Engineering Technician II at Mytra, you will join our Manufacturing Engineering team during a period of rapid scaling and production growth. Our team is focused on optimizing assembly lines and hardware reliability; we need a highly proficient specialist to plan and execute cross-functional work that bridges the gap between design and high-quality production.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with mechanical assembly, standard shop tools, and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Hands-on fabrication experience and familiarity with standard machine tools.
  • Experience working with structural components, including safely moving heavy equipment with an understanding of level, plumb, and parallelism.
  • Proficient in using standard Metrology & Inspection tools like calipers, height gauges, and micrometers to complete routine measurements accurately.
  • An Associate degree (or equivalent) with 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or prototyping environment.
  • Consistently follow safety procedures, demonstrate good spatial awareness (relative to overhead hazards and moving equipment), and maintain a clean, organized work environment (5S).
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and remaining mobile throughout the facility.
  • Experience or comfort working at heights and basic familiarity with rigging (slings, shackles, hooks, etc.).
  • Capable navigators of modern digital tools (Google Suite) and manufacturing software systems (ERP/MRP/PLM) like Arena or Linear, with assistance as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts.
  • Basic experience with wire harness builds, cable termination, and routing.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or ISO 9001 quality management environments.

Responsibilities

  • Independently execute routine assembly workflows.
  • Troubleshoot common technical issues on the floor and escalate complex problems when the impact exceeds defined scope.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) with high accuracy and care.
  • Support the maintenance of routine technical documentation and reports, suggesting small process improvements when prompted.
  • Contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives and team-level operational reliability by balancing efficiency with strict attention to quality and detail.
  • Operate standard equipment, support preventive maintenance tasks, and assist with tooling inventory tracking.
  • Build product prototypes according to established documentation and assist with routine inspections to validate engineering changes.
  • Share status updates clearly with the team, ask precise questions to clarify requirements, and assist with peer coordination and onboarding of new team members.
