About The Position

Five Rivers Analytics is seeking an Engineering Technician II to provide technical systems support services in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment, assembly, testing, and installation of designated equipment for FAALC Product Divisions. The technician will contribute to ensuring electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment meets serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements. Services include assembling, repairing, and refurbishing equipment, components, test fixtures, and prototypes; performing equipment performance analyses, data collection, and reporting; and installing equipment and modifications, all in accordance with applicable FAA and FAALC standards.

Requirements

An associate degree in electrical or engineering technology and completion of formal technical training courses is required for level II.
Due to safety and operational requirements mandated by our government customer, all engineering technicians are required to successful complete a physical fitness evaluation, which includes specific weight restrictions of minimum 125lbs and maximum of 290lbs.
Practical experience in an engineering technician support position is required. This experience must include assisting in developing, reviewing, and updating engineering documentation and processes, and in troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, testing, and installing electrical, and mechanical systems and equipment.
Assisting in producing, reviewing, revising, and interpreting technical documents; assisting in designing, fabricating, assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, subsystems, components, test fixtures, and prototypes.
Developing and performing equipment and component adjustment, test, and certification processes; and in installing equipment and modifications.
NACI Clearance - ability to obtain Public Trust.
Estimated Monthly Travel required for this position: 70%.
A valid drivers license is required.
Must possess TWO forms of unexpired identification to meet eligibility requirements.
One Primary form of government-issued identification, selected from the following: Valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or state-issued ID card, U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Transportation ID Card, U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card, Permanent Resident Card (Form I-551), U.S. Military or U.S. Military dependent’s ID Card with photograph, U.S. Government Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Card.

Responsibilities

NAVAID antenna and component repair and overhaul.
Rotary joint and drive motor troubleshooting and repair.
Circuit board testing and repair
Production and repair of electronic cables and wire harnesses.
Performing equipment performance analyses, and information collection and reporting.
Performing equipment adjustment, testing, and certification.
Installation of equipment and components, and modifications.
Installation and maintenance of NAS Radomes.
Structural inspection of towers and tower components at heights in excess of 50 feet, but not to exceed 750 feet.
Maintenance on the inside and outside of tower structures at heights in excess of 50 feet, but not to exceed 750 feet. Labor includes, but not limited to, installation, removal and maintenance of communication antennae, surveillance systems, safety wire, tower guy wire pull-off shackles and tower obstruction lighting systems.
Moderate lifting and carrying (50 lbs.), straight pushing and pulling, reaching above shoulders, use of fingers and both hands required, walking and standing, repeated bending, climbing, crawling, kneeling (use of both legs and arms), operation of crane, truck, tractor, or motor vehicle, both eyes required with depth perception and ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of colors, hearing (aid permitted).
Attend all Training Classes as required to maintain sufficient knowledge of repair procedures for all systems including all Safety related courses.
Support Preventive Maintenance, (PM’s) on FAA and interagency systems, in accordance with local and FAA policy and procedures.
Support Corrective Maintenance, (CM’s) on FAA and interagency systems in accordance with local and FAA policy and procedures.
Perform basic troubleshooting of electronic/electro-mechanical systems to include fault isolation, removal, and replacement of failed Line Replaceable Units, (LRU’s) required to return the system to full operational capability. Training, procedures, or guidance will be provided.
Prepare FAA and interagency assets for shipment to and from field site, vendor locations and/or Federal Aviation Administration Logistic Center, (FAALC).
Enters time into Data Collection and Reporting System (DCRS) daily to ensure timely billing of hours.
Keeps Crew Leads informed of assigned tasks and status.
Tower Climbing / Work at heights in excess of 50’.
Performing corrosion control and prevention.
Operation of equipment such as boom man lifts and motorized forklifts.
Working from ropes at heights.
Installation of electronic and mechanical systems and components on NAS and Inter-Agency systems.
Assists crew lead with workload scheduling and planning.
Meets with internal customers and may coordinate with external customers regarding projects.
Assists junior technicians with technical tasks and may be required to provide on the job training.
Assists crew lead in project package reviews and provides feedback to internal customers.
