The Instrument Calibration and Repair (IC&R) team provides quality calibration and repair services for a wide variety of equipment in use throughout PG&E. The services include measuring and test equipment testing, calibration, and repairs. The unit has 'Primary and Secondary Standards' capabilities in several areas including AC and DC voltage, current, resistance, temperature, pressure, airflow, dimensional, time and frequency. This position is represented by Engineers and Scientists of California (ESC) subject to collective bargaining. The Engineering Technician II, Calibration is responsible for performing calibration activities across a variety of laboratory environments, including high-voltage electrical labs, pressure, mechanical and dimensional labs, and temperature laboratories. The role encompasses duties of a difficult nature, requiring both independent and collaborative work to ensure accuracy and compliance with technical standards. PG&E is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for this position is $56.94 per hour. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job. The wage rate is based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.
