The Calibration Technician II is a mid-level position requiring at least three years of commercial calibration experience. Technicians at this level are expected to calibrate higher-level equipment across a minimum of four disciplines, with expertise in one (e.g., Electrical, Dimensional, or Pressure). Proficiency is assessed using Transcat’s technician skills progression matrix. A Calibration Technician II can work independently in the lab or at customer sites with minimal supervision. Primary objectives include developing fundamental calibration skills with minimal errors, learning team lead responsibilities, training lower-level technicians, and advancing towards a Tech III position by gaining knowledge in more disciplines. The role also involves striving for ASQ/CCT or CMT certification and adhering to Transcat’s Quality Policy.
