About The Position
This position is in support of the METTS III contract at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) on the Redstone Arsenal located in Huntsville Alabama. The Marshall Engineering Technicians and Trades Support (METTS) III services provides a wide range of support to our customer. These services cover a wide range of engineering technicians and trade skills, and professional and management oversight of the technical staff contract. The Engineering Technician I is an entry level technician, governed by the service contract act (SCLS number 30081). This position will support our manufacturing and fabrication team with semi-professional technical support for engineers, machinists, CNC programmers, senior technicians etc, working in such areas as research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement.
Requirements
- Some practical knowledge of science or engineering, mathematics, or computer science.
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Public Trust clearance required

Responsibilities
- Assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
- Performing simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests;
- Operating and adjusting simple test equipment
- Records test data
- Gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.
- Performing computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas
- Plotting data and draws simple curves and graphs
- Perform routine tasks under supervision or from detailed procedures.

- May be requested to drive government vehicle to receive parts and final products from venders.
