About The Position

We are seeking an Engineering Technician (Electrical) to join our Energy & Industry Team in our Duluth or Minneapolis, MN office. Requirements

  • Associates degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge in AutoCAD and Microsoft 365 ( i.e. Excel, Outlook)
  • Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years or more of prior relevant experience
  • Experience reading and interpreting designer/engineer redlines and comments
  • Experience with 3D modeling software ( i.e. Revit)
  • Experience using macros in Excel
  • Experience with multi-step command routines/programs ( i.e. LISP)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative group and multidisciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to be concise and communicate effectively
  • Willingness to work overtime if requested

Responsibilities

  • Work amongst a team of design engineers and technicians within our electrical discipline to process drawing redlines/comments and update drawings with in the AutoCAD software to create detailed and accurate electrical designs, plans, schematics, diagrams, layouts, and details
  • Ensure drawings are created in accordance with client drafting specifications and standards
  • Manage drawings and interface with client document management software
  • Keep up to date with advancements in drafting software and relevant drafting tools
  • Work effectively in a hybrid work environment
  • Work in collaborative groups and multidisciplinary technician teams
