About The Position

Vermeer is seeking an Engineering Technician - Electrical to work with engineers on electrical solutions and testing for Vermeer machines. The role involves producing, testing, and operating prototype machinery and electrical components, with opportunities to learn new skills and operate heavy equipment. The position is onsite at a Vermeer campus, and occasional travel is expected.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of previous mechanical, agricultural, or technician experience and/or job training.
• Fundamental knowledge to safely operate tools and complete assigned processes.
• Fundamental knowledge in diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Fundamental knowledge of testing procedures for functions and operation-level limits.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school or skilled trade program in auto technology, diesel technology, industrial systems technology, agricultural systems technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Create prototype and/or new parts and electrical harnesses for existing machine components.
• Perform tests on various machines.
• Assist with machines through production implementation.
• Organize and inspect parts for engineering.
• Document and record test reports, project challenges, and changes to machine components.
