  • Experience troubleshooting RF hardware from discrete component level through integrated subsystem level.
  • Proficiency in using advanced RF test equipment
  • Ability to analyze RF test results and determine the root cause of electrical performance issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and experience working under a microscope with miniature RF components.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and Operations.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction and transitioning products into production.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements that improve quality, manufacturing efficiency, and throughput.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing documentation.
  • Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • Applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment may be subject to government security investigation(s) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Only applications from “U.S. persons” within the meaning of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Export Administration Regulations will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Test, tune, troubleshoot, characterize, and validate RF, microwave, millimeter-wave, and frequency conversion products from discrete components through fully integrated subsystems.
  • Perform RF and microwave characterization, tuning, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing using advanced RF test instrumentation, including PNA/PNA-X network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, noise figure analyzers, RF sources, and automated test systems.
  • Diagnose complex RF performance issues, analyze test data, and determine root causes using sound engineering principles and measurement techniques.
  • Perform electrical alignment and optimization of RF assemblies to meet product performance specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform precision assembly and troubleshooting using microscopes and miniature hand tools.
  • Partner with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to support prototype builds, First Article Inspection, New Product Introduction, and production readiness.
  • Support engineering investigations by recommending design, test, or manufacturing improvements that enhance product performance, manufacturability, reliability, and quality.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing fixtures, test methods, and standardized work instructions to increase repeatability and production efficiency.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on improving first-pass yield, reducing cycle time, increasing throughput, and eliminating waste.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for manufacturing and customer-return issues.
  • Work across multiple manufacturing departments to resolve technical challenges and support production priorities while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Mentor and support junior technicians by providing technical guidance on new products, manufacturing processes, RF test equipment, troubleshooting techniques, and best manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing records, test documentation, and production data in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
